Dr. Joseph Yeboah Ansong is a distinguished medical professional with over 11 years of experience, specializing in emergency medicine, sports medicine, and public health. His extensive career encompasses a wide array of achievements and leadership roles, making him a notable figure in the medical community.
Dr. Ansong served as the head of the COVID-19 case management team for the Western Region, where his exceptional efforts were recognized with a prestigious Presidential Award for his contributions to battling the pandemic. Additionally, he received the 2020 Western Regional Health Directorate Award for his outstanding work during the COVID-19 crisis.
In his previous role, Dr. Ansong was the head of the Public Health Unit at Effia Nkwanta Regional Hospital. His leadership and expertise in public health have made significant impacts in the region.
Currently, Dr. Ansong is the CEO of West-View Medical Centre, which he established in 2017. Under his visionary leadership, the center aims to become a hub of excellence, focusing on teaching and learning as well as medical tourism, serving the West African sub-region and beyond.
Dr. Ansong has also made notable contributions to academia, having lectured for two years in community nutrition, biochemistry, and health system research. He holds a diploma in Community Health and Disease Control from the College of Health in Kintampo.
As a committed lifelong learner, Dr. Ansong is currently pursuing specialization in obstetrics and gynecology with the West African College of Surgeons. He is also an alumnus of Donkorkrom Agric Secondary School.
Dr. Ansong’s dedication to his field and his community was further demonstrated when he chaired the LOC of the 3rd International Christian Medical Association Conference in Ukraine, successfully bringing together representatives from over 30 different countries.
